I would like to share this factsheet that has been floating around Facebook lately, so if you haven't seen it do take time to look through this! I have been following a water regime for a couple of days now and I really see/feel the effects so I really recommend increasing your intake of water.

Bag Charm Love's Tea Party
A week ago I attended Bag Charm Love's one-year celebration. It was a small cozy tea party held at Francisca Dessert Parlour. I met the owners one-and-a-half years ago and it was really nice of them for still remembering me and inviting me to celebrate this special occasion with them. There were pretty HL-inspired dresses on display, sweet treats and two of my favourite people, Javin and Anthea, so I enjoyed myself. I was very tempted to get a dress because they fit so well and accentuate anyone's figure, but I figured that I probably wouldn't wear it to school. Thank you Bag Charm Love for your hospitality!

Mondays
Monday is the longest school day of the week for me. I wake up at 0800 and get home around 2130; 2200 to 2300 if I have dinner outside home. Thankfully, it's the day that Javin and I have the same timetable and that makes everything a whole lot better (:
I wake up at 0800, meet Javin to get to school early so we can have mixed rice from our favourite vegetarian stall in FASS. We have it before our lesson instead of after because they usually run out of our favourite dishes by the time we end class. It also leaves sufficient time for my heavy meal to be digested so I can run comfortably when Javin and I go to the gym after class. After some exercise, we have our very late lunch and proceed with school work. We then have our last class of the day and we head for dinner or back home after that.
It is a long and draining day, but I always look forward to my last class. It's pretty chill and my prof always talks about really interesting findings about consumer behaviour. For example, in the second lesson, we learnt about how women tend to shop more when they are ovulating, and are more likely to purchase sexier pieces during this period of time. Hahaha. Recently, we learnt about some love-related phenomena (like why girls like bad boys etc all supported by sound research) in light of Valentine's Day. Another reason why I love this class is because a lot of my closer friends in university are in the same class so we have a lot of fun joking and laughing at each other in class.
School should be this enjoyable all the time, but you know, life can't always be enjoyable and one of the best ways to grow is to be put into a difficult environment, so oh well goodnight very tired now

Valentine's Day 2014
Many say that Valentine's Day is no more than a overly commercialised and hyped up event pushed for by the capitalists, but even without the more-than-usual spending, it remains to be an special day to me. Of course, everyday should be Valentine's Day, but not everyone has the time to spend exclusive time with their partner. Maybe I am not appreciative of specifically Valentine's Day, but rather the chance to spend time with each other without the interference of other distractions and to show our loved ones how much we appreciate them.
I see Javin almost everyday, but most of the time we discuss mundane everyday-/work-/academic-related matters, and it is difficult to just spend quality time with each other, especially since Javin is kept very busy with work and school. Even on exchange, he was busy with his trading, checking prices all the time and at times I would feel really annoyed and neglected. I don't really complain anymore about him spending a lot of time on work now, because I know he needs to earn that money and, like most men, is pretty ambitious/driven when it comes to earning money. Giving my fullest support is the very least I should do. I shouldn't complain because he puts in a lot of effort into our relationship. He comes to see me for a while after a long and tiring day even though it is late, though I don't ask for more time with him and am fine spending time away from him. I appreciate him immensely for that.
My Valentine's Day was nothing too extravagant. I clearly instructed him not to get me any flowers because although they are pretty, I prefer them on the ground and they wither anyway. But my Valentine's Day was not as simple as a normal day together with him either. Javin brought me to a nice place called Herbivore for really delicious vegetarian Japanese cuisine. Not extremely fancy, but we usually eat simple meals and my heart sank because he was spending so much on me. After dinner, we had gelato which got really gelat (pun intended, originally made by Javin) towards the end. We spent the rest of the night under the covers, talking about everything and asking each other hypothetical/ridiculous questions e.g. Me: "Would you rather have two mouths or three eyes?" Javin: "Three eyes - to look at you" HAHA it sounds horribly sappy, but it was quite funny in real life, because of the way Javin said it. He always makes me laugh. I laughed until I cried. I cried last year too, not out of laughter but because of the video he made with his singing as the back ground music, which he played on his laptop, which he placed in the middle of a heart made out of rose petals. I was not expecting it at all. He's always full of surprises.
We talked and talked until I fell asleep.
So that's basically the lovely Valentine's Day that I had, all thanks to my loving partner. I was really happy. Thank you for always showering me with love and compassion and giving me your best, not just yesterday but everyday. I love you very much. <3

CNY dinner with my uni mates
Taking some time off even though it's past 2 am to think and embrace this very moment. It has been a while since I've spent such time. Writing this as I plug into some chillwave. Bliss in its own way.
Today I met my Year 1/2 classmates for dinner to celebrate Chinese New Year. I felt really happy because I haven't seen them in a long while and attendance, though not full, was excellent. The atmosphere was so good that I joined them for some CNY gambling, even though it was late and I was kinda tired. We played blackjack over mini magnums. I knew that I would enjoy myself in their company and I needed/missed that very much. We had so much fun that we decided to make this a yearly tradition.
I'm so glad I met this bunch of people whom I feel aren't too caught up with the rat race. They are sincere and genuine, the best kind of people to be with. We don't hang out often as a big group, but everything still feels the same and I still feel that sense of belonging :')
Being with them made me feel like I was in Year 1 again. That was one of the best/happiest times of my life. I didn't have real things to think about. I was really happy. Besides the occasional melancholy that I fell into while thinking unnecessarily, I was generally very happy. I miss such times very much.
Thank you guys, I really appreciate having such wonderful people as friends.
Yet another thing to be thankful for (:

Favourite 3 Korean products
I've been away because of Chinese New Year celebrations (I really really love Chinese New Year! Everyone is so happy), but I told myself I would post more Korea-related content that is more informative and useful, so here are the three Korean products I couldn't tear myself away from while I was in Korea.
I love this stuff from Laneige (amongst their other awesome products) and I am sure that people who are familiar with Korean beauty products already know how good this is. I've always heard my friends raving about this so I finally got myself one when I was in Korea.
It's a sleeping pack that should ideally be used bi-weekly, after toner and moisturiser. I love it because the gel is light and isn't a heavy cream so my skin doesn't feel oily after I have put the pack on for a while. You can really feel the results of the mask when you wake up the next day - smooth bouncy skin, nothing less!
I like this because the colour is pigmented and matte. It can look flaky if your lips are very dry so I don't put it on on dehydrated lip days or I slather on some lip balm before applying it, but I'm not complaining because I got it for about $5 when Aritaum was having a promotion. The cushion that is attached to the end of the stick is great for things like toning down your lip colour.
You can find these on Qoo10.sg.
After having lunch with my groupmates one day, I dropped by the Tony Moly on the way to school and wanted to try their Cat Wink Mascara because I heard good things about it. However, this Double Needs mascara was on sale so I tried the sample and headed to the gym as planned. It didn't smudge at all like my previous mascara, Helena Rubinstein's Lash Queen Feline Black, which is supposed to be amazing, particularly for volumising and lengthening without clumping, but it still smudged by the end of the day. After my workout, my mascara was miraculously still in place. I was sold and bought it the next time I passed by Tony Moly. I recommended it to all the Singaporean girls and we kept one each because it really is that good.
Besides the smudge-proof attribute, I like how it isn't too thick so my lashes don't look too clumpy and "spider-ish" and I can vary the thickness of my mascara with the number of coats.
There's a Tony Moly shop in Singapore, so you could check it out if you are looking for an affordable mascara that does a reasonably good job.
